Dog Flu Virus Detected in 7 States
I have been unable to get much information from local vets regarding the new dog virus and the local media seems to have played it down some, so here's more on the subject from ABC News.

Yappy Birthday Party
The party season high tailed into gear with the birthday celebration of that lovable lab mix, Gabe, who turned 3. The event brought together canines as far as Vermont as well as Gabe's grandparents, Dr and Mrs Obenski from Pennsylvania.
Other party animals included siblings, Ozzie and Kona Westerberg, Toby Parent , who is related to the guest of honor, and the newest additon to Longmeadow High Society, Xyla Lily Algaier, who already knows that a true fashionista matches her stuffed toys with her coat!
Games included Impersonations of the birthday boy by Vermont resident, Oden.
... and Fetch, which was won paws down by Kona, whose unrelenting passion for the sport brought out the tomboy in her.
An exhausted Gabe...
got a second wind when he heard Frosty Paws Ice Cream for dogs was being served by Doreen Merriam and mom, Rae Parent.
Noticeably absent were those wild Merriam Labs, Jackson and Wilson.
Rumor has it that they were wreaking havoc on their father's prize winning lawn!

Good Night Sweet Ivanna
This summer we said good bye to our sweet Little Vanni who passed away on August 24 after a long and happy life with parents Cathy and Rick Westerberg. The young Ivanna used to travel all around the country with her mom, a golf pro, whom she adored. In her later years, she rarely missed her walks in Bliss Park with her daughter Kona and brother Ozzie.
Until we see you again, sweet girl...

Tygger: Neutered and Declawed black and brown striped Male. 11 years old. Very Sweet.

Tucker: 4 year old neutered male. Has claws. He is skittish in the beginning but will warm up when he gets comfortable.
Desdemona “Desi”: 11 year old spayed and declawed female. Also very sweet.
